Erin McLauchlan has been working on The Triad Series for most of her life.

Long before The Healer and The Sanysk became the books they are today, there were countless early editions, hand-drawn maps of Caladore, velvet cloaks, snow horses, and so many lovely friends who listened to her talk about “the story” for years and years and years.

Erin grew up devouring books and inventing stories. She never entirely stopped doing either. Her house is still full of books, fairy doors, swords, and whimsical dresses. She married the boy with the storm-blue eyes and is still best friends with the girl who helped her dream up Caladore in the first place.

When Erin isn’t teaching, writing music, or becoming far too emotionally invested in fictional people of her own creation, she can usually be found pursuing her latest hyperfixation with unmatched enthusiasm.
